Pathshala

Welcome to the Jain Pathshala. We believe that Jainism is not just a religion, but a philosophy (a way to live life). For us, is it s three-step process. Firstly, we explain the connection of Jain principles with modern era of advance science and technology. Secondly, we teach them about Jain aagam concepts and rituals. And last but not the least, we make learning fun by doing discussions, activities, art and craft. As teachers and followers of Jainism, our objective is to instill good social values and strength of character in our children as they begin their journey of faith.

Meet our Educators

Raina Gangwal

I am Raina Gangwal. I am the teacher for the junior most batch of Jain pathshala. For me, jainism is not just a religion but a way of leading a satisfactory and a peaceful life. I work with young energetic, creative, and curious minds and help establish a logical connection between today's world and Jain principles for them. From understanding our symbols to tatvas, from Panch Parmeshthi to five gyaans, junior pathshala is a ground for exploration, questions, and experimentation about these beliefs! It is my deep rooted faith that if we lay a sincere and honest foundation, children will lead us beyond our expectations. I am so honored to be part of their spiritual journey.

Mansi Poladia

Jainism is an ancient religion that teaches us the way to liberation and live lives of harmlessness and renunciation. I have taught pathshala in the past and I am excited to have an opportunity again. Teaching the younger souls is more like learning something new from the practice, which is very rewarding. Looking forward to teach as well as learn more about Jainism.

My family and in-laws are new to Portland area. We moved from sunny Southern California. I have taught Pathshala in the past and I am excited to have an opportunity again. I love teaching children about Jainism and the value of prayer as they start their faith journey. Their energy and inquisitiveness is so much fun. My time with them is one of the highlights of the week.
